CLEANING LINCOLNSHIRE FOR 8 YEARS AND COUNTING

OUR MISSION TO CLEAN UP BOSTON 2024

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BOSTON BOROUGH COUNCIL TO MAKE A BRIGHTER AND CLEANER TOWN FOR US ALL

In 2024, the Boston Borough Council has entrusted us with a monumental mission: to restore the cleanliness of Boston.

Our inaugural challenge is the revitalization of the pathways in the heart of the main town square.

For over four decades, neglect has allowed grime and layers of discarded chewing gum to accumulate, presenting a formidable obstacle. Undeterred, our dedicated team will undertake the task tirelessly, working diligently from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. every night over the span of a week.

Armed with determination and an array of cleaning tools, we embark on this ambitious endeavor, ready to confront the daunting task ahead and restore the pathways to their former glory.

Removing chewing gum from pathways is an arduous endeavor that poses a significant challenge for councils across the UK. Over time, chewing gum becomes firmly adhered to surfaces, forming stubborn, resilient patches that are notoriously difficult to dislodge. The gum's composition, designed for elasticity and longevity, exacerbates the cleaning process. In the case of the pathways we're tasked with cleaning, the gum has been entrenched for up to four decades, rendering it particularly obstinate. Decades of exposure to foot traffic, weathering, and urban debris have further compounded the issue, solidifying the gum into an almost indomitable substance. As we confront this formidable task, we are acutely aware of the immense effort and perseverance required to effectively cleanse these pathways of their longstanding gum-infested blemishes.
